A recent collaboration between IEEE and IEEE Photonics Society was held as a “Lighting the Path: Solar Lamp Design Training for Women’s Empowerment,” at the VISAT Engineering College, India. This 1-Day Solar Workshop and Project Expo not only served as a beacon for the crucial role of solar energy in sustainable development but also as a platform dedicated to empowering women through an extensive and hands-on training program focusing on solar lamp design.
