The IEEE Nanotechnology Council focuses on the advancement and coordination of work in the field of Nanotechnology, and is made up of 22 member societies. The IEEE Sensors Council focuses on the theory, design, fabrication, manufacturing and application of devices for sensing and transducing physical, chemical, and biological phenomena. This Council is made up of 26 member societies. With an emphasis on the electronics, physics, and reliability aspects of sensors and integrated sensor-actuators.
