October 29th is officially Internet Day. The unofficial holiday commemorates the very first electronic message sent over a network. On October 29, 1969, a UCLA Computer Science Professor and his staff sent the message “LO” over the telephone network to be received at Stanford University.
…that it took 20 years after the message was sent for the World Wide Web to be invented? Tim Berners-Lee, a software engineer at CERN, Geneva, Switzerland created the precursor the World Wide Web in 1989.
