Event Format

Two Competitive Rounds

Round 1: Quantum Quiz

• Duration: 1 Hour

• Objective: Test conceptual understanding of quantum physics

• Qualification: Top 8 teams advance to Round 2

Round 2: The Quantum Hunt

• Duration: 3 Hours

• Format: Campus-wide treasure hunt

• Objective: Solve physics-based clues and reach the final destination first

Key Highlights

• Clues inspired by concepts such as:

  • Quantum Superposition

  • Quantum Entanglement

  • Quantum Tunneling

• Team-based participation (3–4 members per team)

• Electron-based paths:

  • Fewer electrons lead to tougher riddles

• Hint system with time penalties:

  • Extra hints increase completion time

  • Strategic thinking is essential

Prizes and Recognition

• Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals

• Certificates for winners and finalists

• IEEE Photonics Society Membership for the top 25 participants

  • Membership will be awarded only to participants who already hold an IEEE membership
