This year marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Gugliemo Marconi, Nobel Prize winner for physics in 1909 for the invention of the wireless telegraph. A discovery that not only opened the way to a series of technologies such as radio, wireless and optical communications, but also to the concept of networking itself. After all, Marconi is the man who connected the word.
