IEEE Photonics Conference (IPC)

Our flagship meeting, the IEEE Photonics Conference’s topics cover vast technical areas within the photonics community and the interests of our members.

IEEE Summer Topicals Meeting Series (SUM)

The IEEE Summer Topicals Meeting Series serves as an international forum to facilitate information exchange between various technical communities using or affected by rapidly growing areas of technology or “Hot Topics” related to the general field of Photonics.

IEEE Silicon Photonics Conference (SiPhotonics)

SiPhotonics delivers insights on current and future innovations in photonic devices, materials, and applications, as well as novel monolithic and heterogeneous integration and fabrication technologies on silicon platform.

IEEE Research and Applications of Photonics in Defense Conference (RAPID)

The IEEE RAPID conference aims to bring together government, academia and industry in a global forum to present new research, innovative technologies and build collaborations to solve security and defense challenges.

IEEE International Semiconductor Laser Conference (ISLC)

ISLC is dedicated to latest developments in semiconductor lasers, amplifiers and LEDs, including: Semiconductor Optical Amplifiers, Silicon compatible lasers, VCSELs, Photonic band-gap and microcavity lasers, Grating controlled lasers, Multi-segment and ring lasers, Quantum cascade and interband, Sub-wavelength scale nanolasers, Mid IR and THz sources, InP, GaAs and Sb materials, Quantum dot lasers, High power and high-brightness lasers, GaN and ZnSe based UV to visible LEDs, Communications lasers, Semiconductor integrated optoelectronics.

Education and Training in Optics and Photonics (ETOP)

The conference held every two years, that brings together leading optics and photonics educators from all around the world and from all levels and orientations to discuss, demonstrate and learn about new developments and approaches to teaching in these fields. Through presentations, panel discussions, workshops and exhibits, it is the intent of this conference to inform professors, students, teachers and professional trainers on how to teach optics and photonics for the future. Sessions are focused on: Classroom teaching methods; Research training and skills development; Hands-on Instruction Modeling; Training with Specialized Software Tools and Kits; Continuous Education and Training for Academia and Industry; Technician & Trade Development Education; and more!

The IEEE Photonics Society technically co-sponsors many conferences each year with our various partner institutions and organizations, sharing in the stewardship of the technical programs of these events and publishing the proceedings.
