Photonics Society seeks new IEEE Photonics Journal EiC for 2024

PJ EIC v3

IEEE Photonics Journal

The current Editor in Chief of the IEEE Photonics Journal is coming to the end of their term and the society is conducting a search for potential candidates. The Editor in Chief oversees the review process and the editorial board, and is responsible for promoting the journal. The Editor in Chief serves a three-year term and may be reappointed for a second three-year term.

The IEEE Photonics Journal was the first open access topical journal of IEEE that covers all topics within the field of photonics. The journal enjoys a rapid time to publication (approximately 7.6 weeks in 2022), and a solid ISI Impact Factor (2.25 in 2021).  The Society is seeking a dynamic leader who will be able to continue to raise the stature of the IEEE Photonics Journal within the photonics community.
