We are pleased to welcome four distinguished researchers to the Journal of Lightwave Technology (JLT) editorial team as new Associate Editors, effective 1 July 2025. These individuals bring exceptional experience, global perspectives, and leadership in cutting-edge photonics research.
Meet the New Associate Editors:

University of Arkansas, USA
Dr. Du has authored over 100 journal articles and 150 conference papers in optics and photonics. He is recognized for his leadership in academic mentorship and his technical contributions to photonic integration and semiconductor optoelectronics.

Thomas R. Clark
Michigan State University, USA
A senior IEEE member and former Principal Staff at Johns Hopkins APL, Dr. Clark brings extensive experience in ultrafast lasers, photonic systems, and optical sensing. He holds 11 patents and has worked across academia, government, and industry.

National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan
Dr. Wu is internationally known for his work in metasurfaces, flat optics, and quantum nanophotonics. With over 11,900 citations and multiple prestigious awards, he’s a rising leader in the photonics community and a prolific author in high-impact journals.

Macquarie University, Australia
Professor Fuerbach’s research in femtosecond lasers, nonlinear optics, and mid-IR photonics has made significant contributions to photonic device fabrication. He serves on major international program committees and holds a strong leadership role in ANZOS.
